3rd group. Oh, the main producer arrived! Great. He is very intrested. And the rest as well. But the energy is not very high. Performers got a bit tired. That was a difficult one. Strong audience.

final production

2nd group. Well, they are very present. They are here. Giving themselves. Looking very intelectual. Don’t make photos, you don’t have a permission. Getting very exited. Not too much. See the set. It’s great, isn’t it? Think, think. Good, guys. You are doing well. We will get a tour in Europe. I know. It goes very well. Performers are great. They don’t feel bad, I see it. They enjoy it so much. The right audience. And tickets are not so expensive.

Final presentation, Riga, 2013

The first group just arrived. Janis lookes at me. It’s not the first perfomance, Jani. Wow, it is so exiting. They got very intrested. And suprised. Show goes very well. We have the press here. So there will be an article on the newspaper. And sun is shining in Riga. What a dancer we have, did you see her. She has high heels. Thank you, it was very good.  The old tools of the theatre work well. Postmodernism.

Individual work – impressions about yesterday

Very shortly.

We experienced three rituals.

First one was brainwashing, but in a positive way. During the ritual you really gained this feeling that you switch to another level of existence.

Second one was my group’s ritual. We hypnotised ourselves to get into a very tiny space  and waited for miracle which didn’t come.

Third ritual was based on translation of one text (diary entry of Viesturs Meiksans). Translations were mixed together and created the feeling of chaos where you are trying to catch some kind of meaning.

After rituals we received next exercise from Peeter. Exercise is to find most interesting parts from lecture about Heroes, Sitchin’s lecture and from epic tale Gilgamesh.

In the afternoon with help of Martins Eihe I found a place where I saw two performances by one Finnish guy and Maike. Performances were somehow very close to the subject which we are dealing with – ritual. These performances created another space for couple of minutes.

In the very late evening we went to Jim’s and Loore’s place. Thank you guys for a warm welcome and your attic apartment is ubercool.

So day of rituals

I already like this day. We showed our rituals. There were three groups and three rituals. Later – a discussion. Now we will go to the concert and later to that Jim and Lora party. I just wanted to say that I really liked the way of working and liked the rituals.

there are some pictures from yesterday and today

and the song from the park songs about berrys and ice cream

I’m not sure if the video works properly.

Rituals show

Soon we will be going through the rituals developed by the different groups in the last few days. After last night I am pretty happy that we didn’t go for the Whirling Dervishes suggestion after all… But it should be really fun to see what everyone has come up with!

Also, it will be interesting to see if Jim and Laura will manage to follow up last night where they promised to host a party for everyone at their luxurious Kristian Smeds appartment :)

I’m hoping for more ukulele!

Let’s talk

Ok, so.

I just woke up to the beautiful sun. I think that I will go for a run at the beach now.

There are some important things to bring up.

A lot of things happened today. First we saw this documentary about the sumerian culture coming out of an alien culture. This documentary was not really related to us and what we are doing here so I wonder why we watched it.

Then we (in my working group) found something useful right now to do with this task that was given to us yesterday, to do something with rituals. Then a lot of us went out together to sing and to drink, which was supernice. Also we talked really a lot lot about feminism, and this term is problematic to use as it means a number of different things. I now realize that gender equality, studies and rights are really different in different Baltic and Nordic countries.

The wishes, dreams, desires and interests of the BaNd-expanded participants are not very present so far in the work during these days, and this needs to change. Also we need to talk about this.

Oh, I almost forgot. OMG, We know have a trailer, look in Zane’s last post. I will end with a funny quote from the lecture today (yesterday for you) “Predicting is a risky business, especially if it concerns the future”

Good night, love you all

Short links of long day number 3

It’s already 3:26 in the morning but it is still not dark outside. Amazing.

Let’s make it backwards.

So, I just came from the bar. Before it we were in the park with some sad Estonian songs and some songs about Inkidu. Before it we were in the theatre bar. Before it we were rehearsing in the theatre or maybe we should say developing the ritual that we are going to show tommorow for everybody. Before it we had a recorded lecture of a very interesting, crazy old person from the srceen. We saw a lecture about “shumerian” civilization. It was crazy. The most important what you need to remember is: “Jerusalem is the mission control center”. Oh ye, today came that Austrian guy who is also in the project. In a way it’s strange, but it’s ok. I didn’t speak to him too much because he was working in another group (about rituals).  And before the lecture we were in the hotel and eating breakfast and with Martins discussing about children. He has children and I don’t have any. But it was interesting.

And its really late so I upload photos tommorow. And Zane, I tried to change the gallery of the second day, is it ok?

sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep you tommorow
